Really? I’ve never had that happen to me before and I’ve always had random aging on. I thought that random aging just made it so that randomly generated sims started on a different day in their lifespan(like a young adult would be spawn in and start at 7/24 instead of 1/24)
I asked about it in one of the threads for MCCC a while ago and that's how I assume it works. When I had the problem with the baby I mentioned earlier someone told me to turn of random aging. I can't find the comment now as it's been buried because it was a long while ago. I would suggest turning it off and see if that fixes your issue. If it doesn't maybe someone who knows more than I do can help you better than I can. :)
Edit: I found the thread. If you want a better answer go here. There are a lot of people who know way more than I do, and they're pretty quick to respond.
