original worlds are missing and sims are invisible.

After the latest update, I can no longer access the 3 original worlds in the sims 4. only the worlds that have come with the expansion packs. When I choose a family to play, each sim is invisible and all the floors are now rainbow tiles with question marks. I've already disabled the use of mods. Help!
