Pregnancy Issues (Patch 1.116.232)

I have updated my game today July 16 with the update that was meant to fix pregnancy, but I still do not even have the option to take a pregancy test after woohoo. I turned off mods and tried removing my mods folder but it still isn't working for me.

Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title to better reflect the issue

  • If you have this issue if you did the steps below on a new save game (or you are on console), create a new thread in the bug forum

Could everyone in this thread try to rename your user folder. I haven't read everyone's post yet. WIll revisit this thread after I'm done with the rest but meanwhile, please test.

If you are on console or never ever have used mods and have this on a new pregnancy, please make sure to clearly state that.

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    •  Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

For the pregnancy test itself: Give it some time. Don't try right after woohoo. Wait a few Sim Hours and try again.

I don't know if the fix fixes Sims that were pregnant BEFORE this patch. Make sure to try a new pregnancy and report back.

There are two issues that are still open:

There's also a couple threads that still need info if they are still a thing

  • I have no pregnancy belly appearing on my pregnant sim. This was actually working for me before this patch that was supposed to “fix” pregnancy.

I had to reinstall the game for it to fix the issue for me. I had done everything including repairing the game. I just started a fresh save with no mods, and it worked fine.
