I'm playing the console version.

I'm having this problem too and it's really troubling me.

In high school, A was at the age where you want to be mean to your lover B, so he was mean to her.

B received some kind of sentiments at that time. (Probably "undying grudge")

Even after this sentiments disappeared, for some reason the Smooth Apology option was still displayed for B, and A would suddenly be mean to B. I think it's because the negative emotion is still there. I want to solve this situation. I can't use mods because it's a console version. Please help.

I think it would be better to move this topic to a bug report.
