@kkhn92yxjill Do you have Mods &/or CC? If so, you may want to test them to see if one or more is not working properly after the new game patch. You can test as follows:
Exit the game. Move the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can then test without saving – or in a new vanilla game save – in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue. Then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
Thank you so much for your advice and help! I do use mods but haven't added any new script mods since before the last update a couple days ago. I'll try this. I'm assing I return the Mods folder to the Sims 4 file once I delete the localthumbcache package file, correct?

No, first test the game when the Mods folder is completely empty. That will let you know if the problem was that there were mods or CC that stopped working when the game code updated.
You can also check the list in this forum for mods and CC that need to be removed or have updated versions available.

Got it, thanks! I really appreciate you! I use deaderpool's command center and it's been logging something that isn't working so I'll reach out on that discord and share the last exception there. I'm pretty sure something happened after the last update because it won't allow me to pull up any in-game crafting menus, either (for knitting, crafting table, embroidering, etc).
