Yeah, what @jpkarlsen said, it needs a lot of space both in front of and behind it. Especially in front of it.
My gardener got a cowplant berry from work and was trying to plant it, but it was winter, so I had to clear out an internal room, and..... yeah, I had to delete EVERYTHING out of the room and rotate the planter 90 degrees and... yeah. It was a huge production. Once you have it planted it'll show you how much space it needs if you try to move it. (I do use the big planter boxes for it.)
I digress. Plant it away from everything else, if you can.
