Re: Custom Sims 4 Loading Screen won't change even after removing.

Not sure if anyone is still having this issue so I'll add what worked for me!

1- Make sure you comb through your mod folder in case you missed a duplicate. I also recommend getting a mod manager to view merged files. if you use the sims resource's mod installer you may have some merged files.

2- Clear the cache file

3- Remove all mods from the mod folder onto your desktop temporarily and start the game.

4- In the menu, disable cc and mods. close the game and restart it again. (this will be quick without mods usually) confirm that the loading screen is now default.

5- Re-enable cc and mods and close the game again.

6- take the file for your new loading screen and put it into your mods folder ALONE. Start your game and make sure it works.

7- Close your game, copy/paste all your mods back into the mods folder. You will likely have a duplicate resource.cfg file. Do not use the old one that you moved. use the one that the mods folder regenerated. (it'll say there's already a file named resource.cfg so you will click to skip that file when moving the mods.)

8- Start your game again and the issue should be solved.

You could "probably" make this work skipping some steps but I am not sure, so I'm just sharing exactly what I did to fix the problem, however tedious it may be.

Hope this helps!
