Re: Infinite load screen when trying to access manage worlds from household

Hiya and thank you for your reply!

• I've tried the Milestone Fixes mods - no change
• DX9 didn't make a difference
• Moving the Sims to a different lot doesn't work bc I get the same infinite load screen when I try to move them.

I cannot access the manage worlds screen in any way, shape or form.

I do have all the gameplay and expansion packs and play with cc and mods - but I've tried the 50/50 method as well as loading with an empty Mods folder and it didn't make a difference.

I think the first time I got stuck on the lot was after a bunch of updates when I resumed playing at the end of October.

@Sunnie_0208 You can't access Manage Worlds - the set of maps? Or is it a different page you can't access?

Try this, please:

1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
2. Run a Game Repair
3. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
4. Start with New to confirm that in a new game, you can access the pages you can't now.

If that works, start putting old content back:

1. Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
2. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select your regular save to test.

Let me know if this is working. If not, please upload a file of any last exception you receive.

@luthienrising I can't access Manage Worlds. I can't access the map of the neighbourhood my lot is in, nothing.

I've followed all your steps. Still no change, I'm afraid. - It all works until I put my saves back into the new saves folder. When I then load my old save/game it's all back to the same problem.

I'm unable to attach the last exception file, but I can add the text (this is now WITH mods and cc but like I said, removing mods/cc didn't make a difference):

@Sunnie_0208 A broken adult mod is named in that file. Delete it, delete any add-ons for it, and then delete localthumbcache. Then delete any LE files (this is helpful just for keeping track of which ones are really current). Then try again.

@Sunnie_0208 Do you have any mods related to inventory? You're going to have to do a 50-50 and check the mods you use for updates. You use a lot of adult mods - some of which affect inventory -- and we don't support those here.

I don't believe I have mods that specifically affect inventory (unless I'm not understanding this correctly, which might be the case), unless like you say, it's built into one of the adult mods.

I've updated all the mods that need updating.

I've done a 50/50 on the Mod folder twice now.

I understand adult mods like WW and Basemental are not supported here. 

I've also tried my luck with this save/family without any of the cc and Mods and it sadly didn't make a difference.

The curious thing is that I've tried running the game on a different computer with an earlier save of the same family and the exact same mods and that game/save is running completely normally.

Could it be that the issue is tied to this save game specifically? Bc if I create a new save the load screen problem does not occur.

I don't know of a mod that would cause Manage Worlds issues on one save but not another. But you can do a vanilla test to find out if that's the case, and then if it is a mod, do a 50-50 .
