Re: Invisible walls inside houses

@3d19b7e3f4ffa707

I'm not sure what you mean so a little more info or a couple of pics would be helpful to show what you are reporting.  Interior walls in cutaway view have always dropped.  You can only see a little bit of them on the floor to show the room layout in that view.  There is about a tile's width showing the full wall where the interior walls meet the exterior walls.  It is only in only in walls up view that they will show.  It has been this way from the beginning and has not changed except in apartments.  There is a reported issue with walls in apartments in the thread linked below but it has been going on for a while, it's not recent.  It only affects apartment, not other venues.  Is this your issue or is it something else?

Hope this helps.

  • I see, but no, my walls don't look like in the post you sent. I took screenshots, is this supposed to look like the first pic? I can't even place a mirror above the sink bc the wall is invisible. On the second pic I deleted a part of the exterior wall, then you can see the interior wall. I thought I should be able to see that wall behind the toilet and the sink when looking from that angle in cutaway?

    What I see in your 1st pic is normal.  It's the same thing that happens for me in my game, and it has always been that way for me.  But you make a fair point about placing the mirror with which I agree.  It is hard in a small room to place wall mounted objects like mirrors and shelves to get them at the right height.  I would like to see if work a little differently in build mode so you could place those things without raising the walls.  As it is now, to place things on the walls, you have to have walls up.  No other way to do it.  In live mode though, mirrors and a few other things that have options on them, like the thermostat, do show but appear to be hanging in midair.

    You did mention that for you it changed recently.  How did the walls act before?

    Hope this helps.
