Re: [Mod Related] Game doesn't save/Time reset on transition/(Part) Progress lost

Ok, I was wrong in my original post. After playing for more than an ingame week with a new save and no mods I stopped experiencing this bug. I played as a werewolf because the glitch was also resetting my werewolf abilities. Had no problems. The game ran smooth. As soon as I put the NSFW mod back the save reset started again. I think that mod is causing most of these issues.

  • I did the mistake of not saving twice before exiting. And now I am reverted back to a previous "save as" file, which is a relief since it was only 20 minutes away. A current work around I've found is to just save as twice. If you didn't, every time the bug happens, it will revert back to the last oldest save from the *same* save file so you should be safe if you have 2 different save files.

I have found a fix for this. with the two NSFW mods they put a folder containing settings files in your main save folder. When I checked this it had setting pre patch even though I had removed the mods from my mod folder. I deleted both folders and also thumbnail cache and avatar cache. Re-opened the game and havent had the problems since. The two folders are recreated with only files post patch.

  • Does anyone know if this is a moonwood mill thing specifically? The original poster mentioned it, and also only started experiencing this after my sim had moved there. Coincidence? IDK

  • @Talionic Agreed. I believe console players are dealing with an entirely different issue similar to this one. Taking out Adult Mod is what works for me.
