Re: My sims can't meet each other

You created a new savegame. Instead you should have loaded the existing one and then clicked New household.

To fix, make sure the "boyfriend" is saved to your library. Then load the other savegame click new Household and import him from the library replacing the default Sim. Save and place him in the world.

  • can you give me step by step instructions because I don't quite understand and I am having the same issue. My husband made a sims character in the lot next to my original character. But when I play my character ( I made mine before he made his) the lot he created is empty and I cant find his sims character.  When he plays his sims character, we can see my created lot but cant interact between our sims, He created a new save game and his sim character is in my game library, but my sim is NOT in the library. I'm extremely confused. We just want to be able to have our sims interact when we play our saved game files seperately.

So, I'm a rotational player, and...

If you want to create a boyfriend for your Sim...

    1. Be in the same save file as the Sim you're creating the boyfriend for...
    2. Go to Manage Worlds
    3. Click on an empty house or apartment where you want him to live. (If you have your eye on an inhabited house for him, you can evict the current resident first!)
    4. There's an option (possibly under "..." that says "Create New Household To Move In."
    5. Create the Sim, give him whatever job you want him to have, etc. Decorate his home. All that fun stuff.
    6. Save.
    7. Go back to Manage Worlds and select the house/apartment where your original Sim lives.

The potential boyfriend should then live wherever you placed him, and you can visit him there. You can also play as the boyfriend any time you like by going to manage worlds.

If, instead, you just want to import your boyfriend's Sim into your save, and have him import your Sim into his save, and play separately without the two saves affecting each other in any way:

    1. Save your Sim to the library in CAS.
    2. Save your lot in buildbuy.
    3. Open his save, go to manage worlds, and place your Sim and their lot there.
    4. Save his Sim to the library.
    5. Save his lot to the library.
    6. Open your save, go to manage worlds, and place his Sim and their lot there.
