Stefaniya123​  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If this doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

@puzzleaddict that method only helps if you are willing to restart literal hours of gameplay. Once files get readded the issue persists and the alternate fix finds nothing.

ShortyGhislaine​  I'm not suggesting anyone abandon their saves or other content, only that would be helpful to know whether the issue is limited to saves, mods, etc. or is more global.  So if you're seeing this issue, please try my suggestion and let me know what happens, or what happened if you've tried it already.

briebabie​  If you'd like help, please try my suggestion.  This is mostly not a game bug but rather a system or mod-related issue, and it's important to sort those issues from anything caused by the game itself.

It doesn’t resolve with a vanilla game with mods disabled. All that did was destroy the saves since the update. When reloading the original file all saves after the update are gone and can’t be recovered.

puzzlezaddict​ I am having a similar problem too. I would get the error that the game failed to save. So i tried playing a New Game and it would just crash with no warning or error or a long lag. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the result still being the same. So I tried your suggestion  with what you said above. It still gives me the same result. Any assistance or new info will help. 

If you reread what I said, I did try both of your methods to solve the issue. I am not saying you said anything. I am simply pointing out that the first method would have you restart everything. The second method you suggested did not find anything either. 

The first one obviously had none of my saves and mods or cc, which you pointed out would happen. Once I added those files back I still didn't have access to them. 

The second method found nothing wrong with anything. 

I have tried your suggestion, I stated as much the first time, I'm restating so now. 

I am having a similar problem.  The game either stays stuck on the loading screen or it takes me back to the world selection screen.  Either way, I can no longer get any save file to load for me.  :(

Hi, I think its because of a mod. Since it happens in everyone, I think its a popular mod (its not mc, ui, more columns, extreme violance, life tragedies, more traits in cas, tool, better build buy. I dont have the last 2 and rest is either updated or I tried delete-start the game) I think it can be xml injector but I am not sure since I dont have the time to delete-start.

I also started to think its not from mods like I saw onlyabi playing the sims normally after deleting the mods but I just tried that and its not working

Same problem here 😔. And the worst parte is that they take onde day to ruin your game, but take more than 4, and sometimes a hole week to fix it.

I'm having the same issue and I've not got any mods :(

Please everyone in this thread provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc
• What platform are you playing on ?
• Please provide any lastException files or lastCrash files (either upload somewhere and link or copy/paste content)
• If you're on PC, provide your DxDiag as asked by puzzlezaddict here: Sims 4 crashes when loading household | EA Forums - 12493038 
• If you are a mod user, make sure to test a clean folder to see if it happens on a new save. This is not to abandon your saves but to narrow down the issue. Follow instructions in the same post linked above.

There are people who doesn't use any mods and are having this issue too! So it's not the mods.

But no one is providing any useful information so it's hard to know what the actual issues are. All I see is people saying: It's not my mods, I still have it without.

Does EA play test proposed updates before launching them in the wild?  If so, how can this issue be affecting entirely mod-free generic installations of the game?  I really wish they would fix it - if it's affecting totally unmodded games, it's entirely caused by changes EA made to the code base in the last patch and the pace of correction is like molasses.

Ive had this same issue today it began. I press play game, it loads to the menu where it shows my recent game/sim i press load game and then it just exits the whole thing and goes back to the EA screen. No error message. i repaired the game i was finally able to load my recent save but when i went to click on the house instead of the plumbob over the house there is a green error image. Ill attach a photo if i can of it. Its so frustrating and when i exited it and tried again its gone back to crashing...
