@lakenkenzi Did you remove the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, or a different folder? It sounds like you might have moved the folder that contains the game's program files instead. If you've actually installed Sims 4 into Documents > Electronic Arts, that's a separate problem. Please check in the EA App: open your library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > View properties, then post the location you see.
To be clear, this is NOT the folder to move.
If this location is not in Documents, that's good, and please do move the folder that's in Documents > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Yes, it will remove your custom content, but that's part of the point here. Let me know whether you can play with this folder moved. If not, please post a dxdiag.
