Re: Sims 4 literally will not open

I'm having the same issue.  I didn't update my Sims 4 October 2nd patch until October 22nd. After the Oct 2nd update, with all script mods and custom content removed, the game opened normally.  Once I added back the script mods and custom content, I received the above error message.  I again removed the script mods and custom content, did an App recovery and repaired the game.  The game launched properly.  As soon as I added back MC Command Center 2025.6.0, the game failed to launch.  When I removed MCCC 2025.6.0 and added back MCCC 2025.5.1, the game launched properly.  One by one I updated the MCCC 2025.5.1 script files with the 2025.6.0 script files.  The 2 files (mc_cmd_center pkg and mc cmd center script) version 2025.6.0 caused the error "failed to launch game".  When I updated 2 files (dresser and CAS) to the MCCC 2025.6.0 version, the game loaded, but after I exited the game, I discovered that both files (dresser and CAS) caused a Last Crash error.

None of my custom content caused an issue and the only other script mod I use is Twisted Mexi Better Exceptions, which I have updated to the new version 3.15.

I haven't played since October 21st, didn't know whether having 2 different dates of MCCC 2025.5.1 files and MCCC 2025.6.0 files would cause a problem.  I'm hoping that after the November 4th update next week, the new version of MCCC will work.

I use the EA app and play on a HP laptop.  I'm not part of Discord, so haven't notified Deaderpool of my issue.
