Re: Sims 4 Update/mods help!!!!!!

@alyssaswan14 There has been a game update since you last played. Game updates will automatically turn mods off. If you haven’t saved yet with your mods missing, you just need to go back into game settings and turn mods back on (and be wary of mods that may have broken with the update - updating them all will have been a good idea anyway, so it’s great that you’ve done that). Then load back into your save.

If you did save with the mods out, you’ll want to recover an old version of the save. Let us know if you need help with this.

@alyssaswan14  I see it but I don’t necessarily see anything wrong with it? Other than just your cc being older, as you noted. With cc that’s not always an issue, but you never know. Perhaps someone else can weigh in.

Edit: Can you place the cc on a new sim and it’s just missing from the existing ones, or is it all gone from the game entirely?

@PipMenace its all missing entirely. im currently redownloading each mod seperately and when i do it this way it doesn't show up with the time stamp next to it. that's what seems to be the problem.

@alyssaswan14 Ah okay, I see it now… are your timestamps actually part of the file name but after the .package extension? I can see how that could break it since it would no longer be recognized as a .package file. If redownloading is working, great! You might also try just renaming the files to remove everything after .package, but if you use the Curseforge mod manager that may break its ability to track them since you generally need to leave them with the name and location it sets.

@alyssaswan14 I've merged your topics together.

Are you using a mod manager that isn't Curseforge? Nothing should be renaming your files like this. Any renaming of files by a mod manager can lead to duplicates (and you've got a duplicate there of the Aladdin set), but this is pretty special. Whatever software is renaming your files needs to go.

Since you’re using Origin, I assume you’re on Mac?

If you go to Macintosh HD->Users->[your user account]->Applications do you see The Sims 4 app and a folder called The Sims 4 Packs? Just trying to see if the game is actually uninstalled or if Origin simply isn’t detecting it.
