Can the Child use the same toilet? If it's a specific one that's being blocked, there's likely an object in the way. Otherwise, do you have puppies, kittens, or foals? hi! there are definitely no objects blocking the toilet. i've literally placed only a toilet in a 3x3 room and the sims still won't use it. i'm having a difficult time explaining whatever this bug might be because none of the factors make sense.
sometimes i'm able to rotate a toilet and the sims will use it. then they wont. sometimes if i delete a rug in the bathroom, they'll use it, but then later they wont. sometimes child sims can use the toilet and only adults can't. sometimes no life stages can! also, i am now unable to get my sims to cook. if i'm lucky, they'll get whatever they need to prepare out of the fridge and set it on a counter, but then the action cancels and they refuse to resume. it's the same animation i get as the toilet. i have multiple usable counters, but i can't get anything to work. i am having a similar situation with showers and cribs.
i have narrowed it down and this problem is only happening within a singular household. i have another household within the same world, and they are able to complete all actions fine.
i have cats in both households, but that's all. no kittens, puppies, or foals. thank you for your help. i apologize if i'm not making any sense! this is just so strange and i'm very confused.
How very odd. Maybe see if uploading the lot to the Gallery, clearing your game cache, and then redownloading the lot to replace the version in your game helps?
Test without mods just in case, but it doesn't seem like the issue here.
Did you ever find a fix? I'm currently having this issue. My sims also can't use their beds, the mailbox, electronics (except the tv), or appliances.
@lhulbert1 That's a lot of different things not to be able to use. There were some interaction issues after the Feb. 27 patch. Did you reupdated to the Feb. 28 patch?
I did do the update on 2.28. Still having routing issues.
@lhulbert1 Have you tested without the Mods folder (and deleting localthumbcache)?
I did test without mods and was able to narrow it down to a single source. The issue seems resolved now! Thank you!
What was the mod?
@Ebonie08 There's a good chance that multiple mods cause this. You might need to check Broken/Updated Mods and then, if you still have the issue, do a 50-50 (whcih is a good time to look for duplicates and get your folder well organized).
