Replacing World Objects

@SimGuruModSquad is there are way to replace an object in the world with another objects. For example lets say replacing every tree of some kind with another tree of different kind?
@_orangemittens_ is it possible to do this with Sims Studio? :)
Thanks!
  • Hi @Petarce123 ,

You could just replace one object with another one, that should be a simple as replacing the objects OBJD (0xc0db5ae7) and COBJ (0x319e4f1d) resources with the ones from the object you want. There's probably a nice way to do that in Sims Studio but don't know for sure.

That will replace the object in *all* worlds and the catalog, essentially removing the old version of that object. If you want to replace in a specific world, that gets more complicated because you will need to modify the .world files and I don't think there are community tools to do that currently.

  • Hi @Petarce123, Sims 4 Studio can accomplish a replacement like the one you mentioned in your first post. As @SimGuruModSquad mentioned above, it seems all you would need to edit are the Object Definition and Object Catalog resources, and these can be edited from Studio's Warehouse tab. :)
