Reshade is probably not broken itself, at least not the current version 5.1. Some presets made the with the earlier versions have probably broken, but that happens when mods, programs and such are updated anyway. Nothing new about that. Happens all the time whenever anything gets an update. There is a post over at the main Sims Forum about it in the broken mods and cc thread that I have linked below:

Thank you for responding to my post. I did actually try the newest version of reshade, but the MXAO still didnt work, maybe i was using the wrong preset, i dont know. Anyway kinda sounds like the other versions won't be fixed so, guess ill have to figure domething else out.
