Romance tab keeps disappearing midway through a relationship

Hello! I'm new here and I hope someone can help.

My sim is in a romantic relationship for a decent while with a sim that by the way isn't in my household yet. For some reason the romance tab has gone when I click on his partner. When this happened the first time I thought that the partner was broken because he had the romance tab for other sims, but now it has happened again with another relationship. It has happened twice with my sims first and second relationship, happened while he was a teen and again when he was a young adult. Why has this happened and what should I do to stop it? 

I use a PC, I have no CC or mods or any expansion/game/stuff packs installed.

    @mantisantics They shouldn't auto-romance if one is a teen and the other an adult.

    You should be able to resume once both are ya

    @mantisantics There's a bug where partnered Sim turn into siblings.

    Could you check their family tree if that might have happened ?

    Oh yes one is still a teenager. I can just age her up then. They would still do romantic actions without my control, like they both kissed without my control and the romance bar was still gone at the time. This doesn't really bother me though if I can romance her once I age her up. Thank you lots!
