Rug textures don't resize

Can @SimGuruModSquad explain what's going on here that rugs don't resize with their footprint using Shift+] and whether anything can be modded to fix it.

    I'm not really sure how this works with other resized objects, but with rugs the umm .. "grabbable area" doesn't size up, is that unavoidable? (I mean when one has enlarged a rug, one can still only grab and move it in the area of its original size .. which is a bit impractical seeing as rugs often go underneath other objects)
