Game not loading Oct update

HI,

My game is struggling to load past the loading page. I hear the regular music and the tone that signals that I sould be taken back into play (like when travelling between worlds and households) but the loading page stays on the screen.

Ive removed and updated all my mods. I think it may be a CC loading issue? At first I thought it was just one buildingand when I delete the CC for it it loaded fine but i was left with an empty lot. I then tried other buildings and the same thing happened. It was fine before the update. Any advice?

I have done the DxDiag and attached.

Thanks.

  • Mine is doing this as well. I hope there is an answer for this. I updated every mod I had and even took out some I assume were the problem. Still I get the infinite loading screen.

If this doesn't help, please test a new save, for comparison's sake.

Okay so the game runs without mods perfectly. I created a new save and it runs like butter. I’ve realized the issue is DX11 with mods. I ran the game with DX9 with mods and it loaded fine.

If switching to DX9 made it work, you can try a batch fix in Sims 4 Studio, but first temporarily remove default replacement CC.

It works fine without my CC's but then my world practically empty. I'll trywith a new save.  I desperately want to avoid having to remove all my CCs and starting again 🥲

Test in DX9 mode, and also see Broken/Updated Mods & CC. There's no need to redownload everything; only some of your mods/CC will be the cause. You can see How to Use Mods and CC for how to narrow down causes. If switching to DX9 made it work, you can try a batch fix in Sims 4 Studio, but first temporarily remove default replacement CC.
