Hoping someone can help, I am trying to get script mods to work. Things I have tried - Enabled both custom content and Script Mods Put script mods in Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 4>Mods Cleared...

You may be best to be in contact with the modders on their download sites, and post about your issues there. There may be other simmers there who have had similar issues and have worked out the causes.
If the mods have never worked for you, you may perhaps have not installed the mods the right way. With script mods, they can’t be more than one folder level down in your mods folder. You need to place the script mods either directly into the mods folder, or only in one level/folder in the mods folder.
For example, with the MCCC mod you can have
Documents-Electronic Arts -Sims 4 -mods-MCCC
But you can’t have Documents-Electronic Arts -Sims 4 -mods- Script mods- MCCC
