Sim won't approach townies when initiating action

Hey there; sorry if this was already discussed, but I literally have no idea how to google this subject. I've been through fire and flames with The Sims 4, but this issue is stuck with me since day ...

    @Huncw0t Yes, that's how the game works. Have you tried walking over there before you initiate the actual conversation ? That's how I do it. I'm pretty sure it did not work that way when the game first came out but it did change after some point. Could be that they had to change it when they introduced clubs. I really can't remember.

Hey,

Thanks for assistance moving the post.

I did use some CC, but yesterday I did a clean install (removed Sims 4 folder from Documents and all that). I've bought the game on Steam on last sale (about a month ago) and it's been going on since. I guess today it just went on my nerves.

    @Huncw0t for sure, that's definitely a frustrating issue to deal with!

    So if you've already moved your Mods folder to the Desktop and deleted localthumbcache.package there, we'll want to try the steps in the thread here as well.

      Sorry for late response. I pretty much did all of that, but went lazy route and just removed (purged) and reinstalled everything, so no repairing or preserving data was required.

      Windows stuff is rather ok as well, and up to date.

      I'm afraid this is just how game handles conversations - seems to natural to be a bug, if this makes any sense (although I couldn't find anyone else bothered by this).
