sim wont use the phone and it crashes

So I installed a new expansion pack (dogs and cats) and I noticed that after starting only one sim does not use the phone and resets itself every time I try to "travel". And sometimes the game crashes. I tried to use the phone with other sims and they use it and everything seems normal. I've tried doing a folder cleanup by having the game create completely new folders and then just replace my saves and stuff. I tried to repair the game. I checked if there were any mods to update. However only one sim still doesn't use the phone or doesn't do some specific actions when I tell them to do them and sometimes when I start it crashes. help me please.
