sims 4 - houses are non-residential

all of the lots in every single world are non-residential. I can't move into any of the empty houses and when I go to edit them the house just disappears. Not sure what to do as I like the household I made and I don't want to lose them.

This is my first help, so I will try my best to help. I loaded in my game offline because I didn't want to wait for the update. When I loaded in instead of a sims with a continue button, it because a silhouette saying continue. Then I clicked into load save, below is what happened. I tried with a few different saves, it is the same.

All my sims worlds became unavailable, since for some of them I have huge progress and many households. I didn't want to lose progress so I exited the game without saving. I tried relaunching, and the same problem persists.

I am sure all the mods are still in-game, as a prompt pops up with the mods I use every time when I launch. But I still need to figure out if any are missing.

  • I have this bug too, when I load a save all lots are non-residential, my sims are gone, the houses are gone, and it's telling me to "pick somewhere to move in" with no sims and $0. I removed my mod folder and deleted localthumbcache and the only notable change is that when the mod folder is there, sometimes it will instead show a blank worlds screen with no options instead. This appears to be a vanilla bug that does not get fixed.
