Sims 4 becomes jittery and then doesnt respond.

Hi, so ever since i have updated my sims 4 game it has become jittery and crashing. I have also updated my sims 4 mods and cc that has needed an update and also installed [adult mod name removed] as I wanted to try it...not a problem also.

As I had tried to go onto my save file, the live mode became jittery and kept skipping, when my sim went to bed and I pressed 3x speed my game didn't respond and became frozen. I did some research and thought it was a mod conflict. Took out the conflicting mod (it was the mod that conflicts with sleep cuddle) to see if it was fine, and it was all good for a few minutes although still jittery and then it crashed.

Today I have taken all my mods out and cc, I have then attempted to free up storage and what not I also put my mods and cc back in, it hasn't crashed but it is laggy and takes a long time to load up the menu and it is still jittery....anyone else with this problem.?

[edited to remove adult mod]

Ah, thank you very much... Will try and do the earlier save before I do anything, but thank you for helping with the solution! I was worried it was my PC acting up!

There's still a chance that you have issues with how much you're trying to do, but hopefully not!

@luthienrising Fingers crossed...although I think the save might be corrupt! So that might be also something that is causing it. Will try those ideas tomorrow

Corruption in a save is something you can cross fingers (again) for and try loading an earlier version. It really depends on when the problem set in, unfortunately.

Hiya again....temporarily the problem was solved however it went back to exactly how it was. Just incase the lot that i am currently on is the issue, it is the darkwing house in britchester.

The game will run fine, smooth and not so much jittery and then i will go to the gallery and put a house onto the darkwing lot, this then causes my game to become jittery and then when putting it on 3x speed the game then doesn't respond!
