Sims 4 Reshade Not Working

Hello, I have installed reshade a week ago with no problem what so ever, but after having a bit of issues with my game I reinstalled sims4. After the issue was resolved I tried to use my reshade gain but none of the F2 combinations worked, and so I assumed that reshade was deleted so I reinstalled it.

I went through the same steps as I did a week ago, but when I tried to open my game it wouldn't launch. I did some research and i solved that issue by changing the d3d9.dll to d3d11.dll, but after I opened the game the grey bar at the top never appeared nor did any f2 combinations work, ( shift+ Fn+ F2) (Shift+ f2) (alt+ f2) (ctrl +f2) (shift + home) literally everything I started smashing all the keys lol.

I uninstalled and installed reshade too many times to counts and kept using every f2 combinations i could find but nothing seems to work, the grey bar never shows up so I am guessing I didn't install it right but I followed every single step that I did when I installed it last week. I ran admin and it did not work, I've repaired the game it did not work.

(BTW I am trying to reinstall reshade 3.0.8)

I will link a pic of my bin folder, My game wont load with d3d9.dll so I changed it to d3d11.dll. PLEASE HELP

(EXTRA INFO: my pc is a Acer, my Keyboard is HP, I have Windows 10)

  • @Anitnil  The current version of Reshade is 5.2.2, and it's very possible that older versions are no longer compatible with Sims 4 or with your graphics driver or other system software.  So please remove the version of Reshade you've downloaded, repair the game again, then download the updated version.  It's best to download it from the Reshade site itself, not a third party, as the latter may offer an outdated version.

@puzzlezaddict  Hi I did what you said and cleared cache and repaired sims4 but it doesn't seem to do anything, the grey bar for reshade still hasn't appeared even though I did all the steps correctly. Can you give me any other solutions? as well as other keys to try and open f2, just in case I've been using the wrong key combos.

@Anitnil  Have you added back Reshade after the repair?  What version of Reshade are you using, and what version of Sims 4 are you running?  For the latter, load the game to the Main Menu, and look in the lower-right corner or along the bottom of the screen.  Please list the entire version number, i.e. 1.xx.xxx.xxxx.
