Sims 4 wont launch with ANY mods

I've used mods forever. Recently, my game would launch, and I did all the troubleshooting I would normally do, realized that it launched fine as long as I had no mods. I did do the 50/50 method, it's every single mod, won't launch if there is anything in the mods folder. I redownloaded them just in case they needed an update, but still won't launch. Please help, I miss my Sims :(

I'm on a MacBook Air, but that's never been an issue before

Thanks to anyone who knows what to do

steps i have taken:

tried to open my game one day - didn't launch, it had been a while, so i refreshed all my mods

It still doesn't launch

vanilla test - yes it does open so i know its something to do with my mods

50/50 method (1st try) - no matter what mods were taken out/ put back in, the game wouldn't open

Repaired the game - nothing changed

50/50 (2nd try, I thought maybe I did it wrong) - same as first try

Removed and reinstalled my game - nothing changed

50/50 (3rd try) - I have no clue tbh, I attempted in small increments, but the files that were causing the issues sometimes weren't causing issues, and sometimes it worked fine despite the files if I added them in a certain way ( if i added 3 or 4 tried to launch and it wouldn't then if i removed one (**it didn't matter what file**) the rest would be fine. But if I attempted this with more than 4, it wouldn't work.  and the ones i ended up removing would still sometimes work. it made no sence

Then i tried just adding my old set of mods back as a final effort - no luck

Okay, for me, I just had to make sure all my mods were synced to iCloud, and then it worked

Hey! I' currently experiencing the same problem, although I'm on Laptop, with windows. I did everything you had, and then some more.. Still, no luck. It keeps refusing to open the moment any kind of mod/CC is in the "Mods" folder. I even created a New Electronic Arts folder into which I moved my old stuff. The game would launch without issues as long as there was absolutely nothing "modded" in it.

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Launch Sims 4. You should get no list of mods on launch, and you should have no option to load a previous save. Reset your Options.
    3. Start with New to make a test save.
    4. Exit and add one mod file to the newly created folder. I recommend freshly downloading a recent mod/CC item.

Yes, I've been doing this. I was slowly adding mods back, and it was working, but it suddenly stopped. All the mods that I was slowly adding and checking now don't work

Kkait9080 This is likely to cause you new problems. You can get support with how to get iCloud to have nothing to do with your mods so they stay truly local, where they belong, and the game always sees them there, in the Sims 4 Mac tech support forum.
