Sims 4 wont save or exit or manage worlds

i play on a MacBook Air for reference i click to start my game and it takes a while then my cursor starts spinning in the rainbow colors. It will start the game and let me play, but if I click play it starts me in manage worlds rather than the last household I played, then when I click on that household it will start it up after a long time but once I'm in I can't get back out. It won't let me save or exit the game or even go to manage worlds. I play with mods and I've already taken them out of files and started the game but it does the same thing. I'll add screenshots of what it shows me when I go in to play a household.
