When I try to play an old game or make a new one, all sims immediately disappear. I will click the house to play it, and the sims will be gone including in the corner. This happens with every game I have. If I try to make a new sim, the second I press on the house I moved them into, they disappear as well.
I also cant place furniture. When I place specific kinda of furniture(couches and countertops to be specific) it says "script failed"
This started after the update. I tried disabling mods, nothing is working.
I updated today. All of my sims are gone. Not just mine, but ALL of the sims in the game are gone. all the houses are the same, everything i built is the same and all still furnished, they are just all for sale. i checked the validity of my files, they all checked out fine, all mods off and base. i did a recover file from a week ago, same thing, no sims. i restarted my pc. I've done EVERYTHING i know to do. Steam shows everything is fine.
@pickerd36 Please try this:
- Back up your user folder in a way that makes the game create a new one: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/
- Re-run the file validity
- Start the game. Check to confirm that there's now no save to load or resume (these are safe, though, in your old folder)
- Start "new" and see if there are premades
@lizzymoore777 Please try this:
- Rename or move your user folder so it's backed up and the game creates a new one: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/
- Run a game repair
- Start the game. Check to confirm that there are no saves to resume or load (you backed them up, though)
- Start a new game and check for premades
