Sims face, body and hair blocking photos

When I command Sim to "Take Photo" , "Take Photo of" or "With", or any other camera action other than the Gameplay photo capture "C", my Sims' mouth, teeth, eyebrows, hair, body, clothes block the photo subject. It doesn't seem to happen for all Sims but this Sim is a bit larger/muscular than average Sims. I do use CC hair/ clothing but default face. I use CC hair and clothes for almost all Sims and they do not have tis issue. This was not always happening before with this Sim when taking photos with the same CC so I do not think it is the CC, hair, clothes, etc., as those have not been changed. I do use a particular Fitness Mod that increases the EA default body limits by 1.75X but that has never caused this before and even after removing that mod the issue still persists. It is extremely annoying as this Sim takes tons of photos as a freelance photographer.

I used to be able to work around the issue by changing the camera to the Sims 3 camera just before giving the "Take Photo" command but it happens anyway now no matter what the camera mode.

  • groovytunes I concur that it's likely hair growth + CC. The only way to conclude it wouldn't be a conflict between CC and Enable Hair Growth would be to test in a new save on a new Sim using no CC.  Off the top of my head, I don't know of CC that conflicts with hair growth, but it's not at all unlikely. See Previously Broken mods and CC . Could be something there I'd forgotten about or that's not listed with symptoms.

    Hope this helps.

So I removed mods, CC hair, clothes etc. Issue was still present. I shaved my Sims' head, removed facial hair, still had the problem. I put back the CC I removed and what I ended up finding was that if I go into CAS and disable "Enable Hair Growth" My Sim could now take photos. So it has something to do with the in-game hair growth option.

  • groovytunes I'm glad you found a solution.  I suspect though, that it is probably a combination of the hair growth and a CC item in your mods folder though or else there would be more bug reports or complaints about it.
