Sims icons/profiles won't appear on screen

Hi i was wondering if you could help me with an issue i'm experiencing if that's okay? Whenever i load the game and into a household i no longer have any sims icons/profiles so the sims are not controllable, i am missing icons at the top of the screen as well, like the up and down keys that allow you to go up and down the house. The build and buy mode is greyed out and says that it is only editable from world maps. I cannot exit the game normally either as it does not allow me to click on the menu, instead i have to use task manager to close the game. 

I have deleted the UI mod entirely and i definitely don't have any version of this mod installed. My MCCC is updated to the most recent version. I also have up to date Luumia mod, YakFarm's no festival outfits, plzsaysike no situational outfits and MTS longer parties and more guests mod. I deleted the localcache folder too and i ran a game repair. I downloaded two kits right before experiencing this problem-the bookcase nook one and the modern luxe kit. Is there anything you could possibly recommend? Sorry to bother you it's just the game is not playable and i am not sure what else to do.
