Sims not eating or using items that can go to inventory
I have a bug in my Sims 4 that came after the home chef hustle update where my Sims reset every time they try to eat or use items that can go in the inventory such as homework, earbuds, Sketch Pad, etc.
I've seen other posts how it was pools, custom content beds and even disabling autonomy but none of them work and I still have the issue happening
I do play with mods and CC yes but I disabled them before trying without my mods and cc to see if that was the case in a new game but it was still happening
I never had this issue until the home chef hustle update so please EA fix this or if anyone has any ideas please help
I don't get a Last Exception when they reset, but I usually get one in the save start up (normally this causes nothing in game play so I ignore it, that and I have zero understanding of these types of files
But here it is
It actually creates two, one from MCC and one in normal game files so I don't know which one is needed the most (I'm not joking I have zero understanding of these types of files meaning) I tried to add the one that comes from my MCC into my packages folder but the website won't support it since it opens a browser

Hi @zouragirl12. Most of what's listed there are the kind of errors the game generates when Sims are having a hard time moving through the space they're in, but you also have a mod referenced there, so they haven't actually been removed. Try a true vanilla test of your game:
Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Document > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem.
I'll ad to this to make sure you don't have anything like iCloud or OneDrive syncing your Sims folders.
I unfortunately don't have that much storage on my laptop to move my mods folder to desktop (Sims 4 literally rivals with base game Fallout 4 of storage that I have to uninstall one to play the other), and unfortunately I don't have a hard drive to transfer files to
@zouragirl12 You might want to start by testing the ones you know for sure you're currently using. Given your storage space issues, you're more likely to run into issues with that kind of quantity anyway. You might also just first check mod lists starting at https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/Broken-Obsolete-and-Updated-Sims-4-Mods-1-101-Sept-26-2023-Game/m-p/12938280#M48214 for known updated and known broken mods, which might save time. Reinstalling what you use by redownloading it directly from creators is a good opportunity to make sure you don't have duplicates, too, and to check installation instructions.
I used outdated mods in the past with no issues gameplay wise and those were always outdated traits, I should've figured readding those after both the High School Years and Growing Together updates with how massive they changed the base game features would cause issues
I removed those but I'm still getting the issue
Apparently it also effects sims being able to read books
addon; trying to find if anyone else is having this issue and all the results I'm getting are from last year and 2018
Ugh its driving me insane to find a fix
