This is happening for no reason. I took out my mods and it still is happening. I tried Better Exceptions with no CC or mods and it says it's the game animations. Another note it's still raining indoors even with a ceiling and roof. Please fix your game EA!
disregard I found the issue it was a console cc from onyxium. I took that out using 50/50 method

It's not a routing issue, this happens with every bookcase in Willow Creek. The sim will try put the book away, then turn to the right and reset.
The issue in the bug thread occurs with just certain bookcases. It is the smaller bookcases. Some of the bookcases affected are listed in the bug thread, and the archived bug thread that is linked in the first post of the bug thread. If you haven’t already done this, try testing with a variety of bookcases that aren’t the smaller ones.
If you are still having issues, try resetting your sims 4 folder, and testing in a new save game without putting back any of your data in the sims 4 folder and see if the issue remains.
It happened with the Moschino bookcase and the one from the Pastel Pop Kit. I will try other bookcases without mods, else it may be a house I've downloaded casing the issue.
