Sims won’t wash dishes since update

My sims won’t wash dishes no matter what household I visit, they just pick them up and put them down again. I’ve started a completely new household in a brand new house and it’s the same thing. The issue started after the December 2023 patch update, the option to assign sink type does not appear for me. Not sure what’s going on. 

(I’m a pc player with mods).

    @shorty943p Could you please do a clean-folder test?

    1. Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
    3. Start with New to test if your issue recurs.

    If that works:

    1. Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select your regular save to test. Exit without saving, because we haven't put mods/CC back yet
