Sims won't clean up the dishes

This is usually caused by something in the microwave or oven. See if you can empty them, if not, replace them.

I tried to remove both microwave and oven but with no success. The sim still pick up and after a couple of seconds drops the dishes. 

Check if there's anything else that could be blocking the process. Anything hanging on the wall somewhere ? Maybe try moving the sink to a different spot

Was this ever resolved? I haven't played for awhile as I'm not really enjoying Sims 4. I gave it another try today and encountered this and logged out after 10 minutes or so. Yes, I updated the game.

Should be fixed.

Is something in the way for you ? 

I think it still happens if they start cleaning from a seating position.
