It happens if you try to modify any skill, or level one up. It is hard to find because it happens only in certain times. What happens when the bug occurs? I tried to view the skill list, but shows "empty string" and closes. What do you expect to see? I was modifying a skill to it's maximum level, to cheat. However after a few second the skill tab went blank. I uninstalled MCCC and still there. So I started a new save and it still occurred so I remove mods and, the empty string came up and closed in less then a second. I repaired Sims 4 and it fixed it. God. I accidently deleted the save file in the sims 4 load game.

It started happening on the new save. And I was able to capture of what happend. The skill list closes like 0.2 seconds so it's hard. I did delete the thumbcache file as well. Still no solve.

Yes. After what happend I had put my mods back to see if it fixed by repairing and it did. But then it started happening shortly after. About a week after(?)

Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup. After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin. Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back. Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually) Tray Folder Screenshots/Videos/Custom music Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it) Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up .... ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files. Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work) The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Did you delete the localthumbcache file ? Did you put any mods back when it started occurring again ?

Moving this to Game issues for now as it seems either a corrupt installation or a mod issue.

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Unfortnately it did NOT work. It partally worked before adding mods. So I think it could be a mod issue. And as it could happen suddenly, it could be hard to do mods one by one.

@LlamaOMama Are you using any UI Mods ? Maybe check the sites of the mods you're using to make sure you have the updated version for them all.

It would probably be a mod and not cc.

It's definitely not custom content. I do have some mods but I didn't check if they are UI.

Are screen slam mods considered UI? because that was one of my most recent downloaded mods and has not been updated since 2019. It's simply to remove the screen slam. I also have a faster skills mod as well that was NOT the same creator. The screenslam creator made a faster skills mod, but I didn.t use that one. I removed that mod to keep safe.
And I don't have UI cheats extension either.
