@SabirahWas this after removing all mods and CC from the Mods folder (drag the whole folder to your desktop) *and* deleting localthumbcache? Try also deleting avatarcache. And make a copy of that save in case you accidentally save over it during testing.
Also, if you have anything like iCloud or OneDrive syncing your game folder, unsync that. They don't play nice with The SIms.

yes, I always delete avatarcache when I delete localthumbcache.

Okay, let's do a test on a fully clean folder:
- Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
- Launch Sims 4 and start a New Game.
- If you still have the problem, it's time for a Game Repair.
- If you don't still have the problem, it's time to check out your save. Exit the game, copy just your most recent save file into the new Saves folder, start the game, and use "Load" to test it.
