[SOLVED] infinite loading screen caused by infants in household?

a few days ago, my sim had twins. everything was completely fine until i aged the twins up. i went to cas to give them makeovers and after i was done, i got stuck on an infinite loading screen. this has happened multiple times since while i’ve been trying to troubleshoot. it seems like the two infants in my household are what’s causing the issue. i do play with a considerable amount of mods and cc but i don’t think that’s the cause because my other saves (including one with an infant) load up just fine, even when i go to cas and back to live mode. i’m so frustrated and need some help figuring out what the problem is, any help or advice would be appreciated.

edit: even without cc or mods in my game, when i go to load the household it gets stuck on the loading screen. i don’t think this is an issue with the save file as i have tried to move the same sims / lot to a different save file and had the same result.
