Some Script Mods don't seem to be working....

I don't have an exact example of this....but before I get questioned...yes my mods have been updated as much as they can be (the creators have either cleared these or put out updated versions and I have those). But it seems pieces of mods are just not connecting/interacting in the game. I'm not sure if this is just me..but for example I have Better Exceptions...sometimes the game seems to recognize I have this and other times it doesn't. I haven't changed anything...I've noticed that certain options of MC command center are missing....as in tuner functions but when I downloaded the mod the tuner file certainly is included....it's just weird. Overall everything works...mostly....the sims cannot swim laps for whatever reason and they take a loooong time to respond sometimes but it works....however I just feel like something is off with some script mods and I wish I could explain it better than that.
