Stairs issue, again 2023

Hey peeps. I know this is a recurring issue because I've looked at all the past posts on this but none of the fixes worked for me so I hope there are some fresh fixes. So, I built a 3-story house with a full basement. The problem I'm having is that my sim will only go up and down the basement stairs. I have to remove the basement stairs just to get her to go up to the second floor before rebuilding them after. I even tried the teleport function and it just gets canceled. As i've said, i've tried all the previous fixes but they only work on a temporary basis and that sucks the fun out of playing the game. Any new fixes are much appreciated

Ok, downloaded the lot and was able to find the problem.  It's a railing on the first floor stair that is blocking the route.  Delete it and the sim can use the stairs all the way up.  So, here's a couple of before and after pics so you can see which railing it is so you can delete it in your build.  First pic shows how it currently is, and the 2nd shows the railing deleted.  I have run into it in my game on some of my lots and have found no way around it.  I have no idea why the game does what it does in this case.

Pic above is before deleting the railing.

This pic shows where I deleted the railing and which one so you can clear the route block.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi, there
To help us understand your problem a little better, could you please attach a picture of that house structure with information on what platform you are playing on, and if you are playing on a PC/Mac, whether using mod/CC or not? It would also be helpful if you could add whether there are any objects placed near the stairs using MoveObjects.
    Thank you in advance.

It won't let me add pics because of size restrictions. The house is a 3-story ranch style. Staris are centered in the middle of the house in spiral fashion. I didn't use moveobject to put any objects near them. I am using mods but i used those fixes yesterday and i am still having issues. Playing on pc

Based on what you've described, you are probably getting a routing error.  With a pic or 2, we can't be much help.  The link you provided took me to the imageshack upload page rather than show your pics.  So, not much help.  But based on your description of the stairs, you may be running into a head room issue or have an object intruding in the stair.  That's just a guess though.

However, if you would be willing to upload your lot with the problem to the Gallery, I am willing to take a look at and see if I can find the problem.  Just reply here with the lot name and your userID if it is different than the userID you've used here (Robtile1) after you have uploaded the lot.

    Hope this helps.
