Strangerville-Bug: Can't use vaccine on other sims and no option to recruit

I already defeated the mother plant multiple times. I wanted to fight her again and I wanted to recruit other sims but after creating the vaccine, there is no option to treat other sims with it. It'...

    @Dimenarius 

    In what state did you leave the motherplant the last time you fought her?  You have to revive her after each fight and request the maximum weirdness to be able to do it again.  Otherwise, the story is pretty much disabled and you won't get the administer vaccine and recruit socials.

    You probably already know that since you've fought her multiple times.  But it is easy to forget sometimes to revive her or reset the weirdness.  Or if you choose any other weirdness level than the maximum.  I've done it before.  So check the motherplant just to make sure that she was revived and the weirdness is set to maximum.  Then the options should come back.

    If not that, then there's one other thing it could be.  If your sim was a former Military Personnel sim that you made a playable, they will be missing one or more options and can't do the last stage of the story and can't complete the aspiration.  I ran into that before as well.  A playable former SV Scientist can complete the aspiration.  I don't know if the MIBs have the issue as I haven't made any of them playable.

    After trying out your suggestion I thought it wasn't fixed but after traveling to the lab again after setting the maximum weirdness I got the notification about the "source" of the infection.

    Then I was finally able to find the "Strangerville-Investigation" Options in the interaction wheel. I regained the ability to cure other sims and recruit them.

    I also went ahead and put the weirdness level back on "none" and still had the interactions available. I have no idea if it is supposed to be this way.

    Maybe I recall it falsely but the interactions to cure or recruit someone was able to be done from outside of Strangerville but this may have been another bug that was fixed without me noticing.
