Hello everyone,
after having my sim age up, i decided to change her outfits in CAS like I always do, but upon confirming the changes, the loading screen appeared, and I couldn't enter live mode. I waited about 15 minutes and still nothing. The plumbob is spinning and the tips are switching like normal, but no live mode ever seems to load. I also can't close the game, so i have to close it though the task manager every time.
I also started having problems with the error code 0 a couple days back, but choosing SAVE AS (not SAVE) seemed to work. I'm not sure if these 2 problems are connected, so I'm mentioning it just in case.
So far I've tried removing all my mods, starting a new TS4 folder and putting just my saves and tray files back in, cleaning EA app cache and repairing the game.
I have tried starting a brand new save and everything seemed to work fine (even choosing SAVE and not SAVE AS). So I think the problem might only be my current save that I've played in for a couple of months now. I'm a bit sad because it happened so suddenly. I haven't downloaded any new mods or cc in a week or so, so it's not like removing the latest mod would do the trick.
If anyone has any other suggestions aside from the solutions I've mentioned, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, I have my sims saved in the gallery, so I guess I will start a new save with the same sims. Very frustrating : (

I don’t have an answer but my game is stuck too within the CAS screen. I’ve tried reinstalling from scratch. This essentially makes my game unplayable.

So sorry to hear that. I really hope there's a solution/workaround. I would not enjoy having my sims walk around with randomized outfits (we all know the townie creations 🙂) if i decided to embrace not going to CAS or lose months of progress if I were to abandon this save.

@Imcrying123 and @jocelynalexis Does any sim in the household have an extra trait, i.e. a trait that can be adopted through gameplay?

Yes, they do. Could that be the cause?

Adding this just in case: once I click confirm in CAS, it's almost as if the game didn't recognize I tried leaving CAS. I can still hear my sim making sounds (when they smile and/or look around while in the full body/zoomed out mode) after the loading screen appears. So I hear both the loading screen music AND my sim in CAS. I usually play without sound so I only found this out today.
