The baby disappeared after 1 day

The reason is that I don't care about him..I note that we had him just one day..when I was working with my Sim in the laboratories and my unemployed wife was at home with him, when I returned home in the evening, the baby was sleeping, not crying, nothing like that. After waking up the next day without any warning the baby was gone!
