TS4 Bizzare mods/CC issue
A few days ago i was playing ts4, it was working perfectly fine and i had no issues. Today, i tried opening the game through origin and it wouldn’t start running. It was only running through the background, im aware of this because of task manager. So, i just assumed it must be because one of my mods, so to make sure that was the issue i pulled out my whole mods folder. the game started, like normal. So i exited the game, and started doing the 50/50 method. About halfway through pulling out mods and cc and trying to open the game, (i’m not a computer smart person at all so i apologize if some of the things i say are confusing) the game just didn’t open when i clicked play. Nothing happened, it didn’t run in the background, or anything. It just didn’t do anything. Its so strange, i’ve been playing sims for a long time and i’ve never dealt with anything like this before. So with all my mods and cc that i’ve had for quite awhile the game just runs in the background. With half my mods and cc the game doesn’t run at all, nor run in the background. With no mods or cc at all the game works fine. I tried putting just one thing of cc into my mods folder, and the game wouldn’t open or run in the background at all. It’s as if my game just can’t handle CC or mods anymore which makes literally no sense, or my game just refuses to work with any CC or mods. I’ve made a lot of progress in my game, so i’m trying to find solutions that wont result in me losing everything i’ve been working on, but i’ve tried a lot of different things and nothings working. I could really use some help from someone who knows what they’re doing because i honestly have no idea what to do at this point, i will keep trying 50/50 though and see what happens. (Edit) Thought i should add incase it could be useful information, whenever i move my cc or mods to another folder trying the 50/50 method, i get an a error that pops up. It says “An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.
