Unable to leave the Last name blank when adopting horses

Hello! When I adopted a Rescue Horse, I wanted to remove my last name and just have the horses first name be it's only name. The confirm button remained grayed out even though the last name was optio...

    I was able to change the name using testingcheats and cas.fulleditmode after the fact. But in the pop up I tried typing a name and then removing it to save. I couldn't get the pop up to accept a blank last name.
