The newest December update has completely broken the game. It seems to be specifically the new cozy celebrations event they're trying to do, as the issues didn't start until the pop-up came onto my game about the event. It's just like when they tried to do reaper rewards and that broke everyone(including my own)'s game. Why do they keep doing this? I understood reaper rewards at least a bit, as they were using it to promote their life & death expansion and the event had one or two rewards that were actually interesting and worth playing for, but from what I've seen, the new cozy celebrations event has two rewards only: a rug and a jacket, both looking like worse replicas of things we already have in-game. I guess I just have to wait until EA fixes the problem they caused again, like every update. Oh well..

My game, with no mods or custom content, has worked normally through all of the events so far. I don't recommend waiting for EA to fix problems that are caused by mods. It's up to the mod developers to do that.

I've seen this before and I'm pretty sure that UI Cheats turned out to be the problem. You need to update or remove that mod if you have it. You should also check whether any other mods you are using need to be updated or removed.
Cozy Celebrations has 13 rewards. I've already unlocked 4 of them and the rest will unlock over the next two weeks.
Reaper's Rewards did not break everyone's game. My game, with no mods or custom content, has worked normally through all of the events so far.
I don't recommend waiting for EA to fix problems that are caused by mods. It's up to the mod developers to do that.

As Sketch793 said, this is a mod issue not an EA issue. When your UI breaks after a patch AND you use mods, you need to remove or update mods. A list to help narrow the options down quickly is always pinned in Mod/CC Issues at AHQ.

This is not correct. I am sure for some it is. But I have removed all mods and uninstalled and reinstalled my game and it is still broken. So for me it is NOT a mod problem.

The current version of UI Cheats Extension updated Dec. 3 at https://www.patreon.com/posts/ui-cheats-v1-45-26240068 does not cause this visual glitching. Only older versions do. Be sure to delete the localthumbcache file every time you remove or replace mods. And make sure you're not in the wrong mods folder -- things like OneDrive will often create a duplicate folder.

I have no mods or cc. I'm currently trying to repair the game and see if that fixes it. Also the game has to be bugged beyond belief due to the event because I played a day before the event and everything was top notch, and now I continuously try to play and so many things are going wrong. Various parts of the UI don't show up, like the bar that shows your sims, the pause and fast forward bar and the gallery button, and then when closed and relaunched they do show up but then there are other issues. My sims were talking to each other, and now suddenly can't talk to each other when it comes to certain interactions but can when it comes to other interactions and also cannot interact while sitting down, attempting to just forces them to stand up and resets any interactions. The whole game is unplayable at this point and it appears to be slowly breaking more and more somehow?

I am not using any mods or cc and I never have, so the localthumbcache option is not an issue and neither are mods.

Build mode is a blue screen, in gameplay every action/menu option is double and if I for example click a sim and choose friendly interaction and small talk ect. , the previous action will stay on the screen, as in overlaying eachother. Besides that it is slow and freezes and simply put, un-playeable. I have tried everything and it just does not work.

UPDATE: Repairing my game fixed the UI issue, but has not fixed the interactions issue. My sims refuse to perform some interactions while being able to perform others, but still reset and stop talking or doing what they were previously doing at the end of the interaction. An example: When I try to have them woohoo or cuddle, they reset before even talking to each other and the interaction disappears in their bar, but they will do other things like get to know or kiss, but at the very end, they completely reset, knocking them a few feet away from each other, and the interaction disappears prematurely as if they were never in a conversation. They are now refusing to "sit and chat" in general, which worked previously but now has stopped altogether, almost as if the game is slowly breaking more and more. I have tried all of these interactions at multiple venues to make sure the venue was not the issue, and the problem still persists.
I do not use any CC or Mods, I deleted my localcache and I repaired the game twice and still, nothing.

I disagree. I have that same version in my game and it is broken using it. Read my post from yesterday when we had this same discussion. This is the mod that not only screwed up the event, but borked CAS and BB and Traveling from my lot to another. Take THIS mod and THIS version out, it does NOT do it, even with or without ALL of my mods back in my game.
