Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I saw a nice house in the gallery so I put it on the plot and clicked edit, I wanted to decorate it so I went to the "wallpapers" section and chose the wallpaper. When I put the wallpaper on the wall, it "doubled", i.e. on one tile there was a mini version of this wallpaper (and stretched), and there was another stretched one under it. This glitch keeps repeating no matter what - I changed the height of the wall and it still looks like that. It's normal only when the wallpaper is one color, all white for example
What happens when the bug occurs? The wallpaper i pick is stretched out, and it doubles
What do you expect to see? It should be normal, and not stretch out
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated the game on the 07/18/2023 patch and after i installed the update the wallpaper just started glitching like i described it.
I tried removing all mods, and its still like that. I picked different house, and its the same. Even if i build my own house and dont use gallery, it still glitches.
First only put back your save game
Copy all content from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves
If there's a duplicate because of the new save you created, either just overwrite the file if you don't want to keep the new save or rename the new one to a different number that hasn't been used.
Now test again. If it still works, you can put the following folders back (just copy the content like you have done for the saves to their respective folders
- Screenshots
- Recorded Videos
- Tray (your houses and households)
- Custom Music if you have any
Test again.
If it still works you can move on to your mods folder.
Copy stuff back in groups. Start with CC, most should be fine., then your mods but do make sure they are compatible
