walls/rooms/roof not intact?

I have just started a new game and build a new house. As I finished building, I went from build mode back to play mode just to see that all electronical devices in the basement don´t work. They can´t be used and it says "electronical devices don´t work in the rain". So it seems like it is raining inside even though there are actual walls and rooms which I don´t really understand...
I have not used any modded items and disabled all CC.
I have also checked and there are no holes in the walls and the roof is intact, also on the first floor, all electronical devices seem to work. I have tried to re-build the roof and to put new walls but it doesn´t help.
I can´t really play like this and I wouldn´t want to build a completely new house, since it was a lot of work.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

    @GnobsalgTV 

    That sounds like there is an opening in the build somewhere.  My guess is probably the stairs but without any pics to see the situation, it's hard to diagnose.  So, if you could add a couple of pictures, that would help.

    One thing you can try is to delete the stairs to the basement.  Then go to live mode and see if you get the same message on the electronics.   Then put the stairs back and repeat to see if the message comes back.  If the message is not there when the stairs are gone, then the issue is on a floor above.  If you get the message again with the stairs gone, then the problem is in the basement. 

    Also, check all the rooms to make sure they have ceilings. 

    And if you are willing to upload the build to the Gallery, I am willing to check it to see if I can find the problem.  All you need to do is reply here with the name of the lot and the userID if different that the one you are using here (GnobsalgTV) after you have uploaded the lot to the Gallery.
