So I’ve about HAD it with KawaiiStacie and her mods…and I really really hate to say that, but her mods have broken my game and ruined my save files so many times that I’ve lost count! Each time I’ve tried to just blame it on me not updating my game with her updated mods, but I HAVE LITERALLY never experienced anything like in the picture.My in game menu wouldn’t show, nor my household panel, aspirations panel, needs bar, etc etc…On top of that, if I tried to create a new family I received an error 109 message.After getting rid of some solid (and updated/current) mods—cuz I was just that desperate! I finally tried getting rid of hers…it was her Slice of Life Mod…I come here and see not just that mod, but like all of her mods are having issues. Like what is the deall??? Like I don’t mean to be a rude but at some point maybe it’s time to stop creating so much content and focus on keeping on top of updates. I get she doesn’t have to create mods at all but perhaps making less, and just focusing on tweaking what she considers her staples would not only be more manageable for her, but also just plain efficient for everyone.

I should add…her website says right now SOL is updated, but clearly it is not. Ugh so over it.

Bit confused why you'd keep trying to use a mod that breaks your game so often as you said? Best not to rely on mods too heavily as they can break and cease to be updated any time. I understand really enjoying a mod and how much it adds to the game, i have plenty I love like that, but it's entirely your choice to use it or not, and not at all the creator's responsibility what happens to your game if you choose to. You use them at your own risk. They can keep their mods updated, if they wish. Equally, they can stop any time if they wish, too.

The problem is that by the time they all get updated a new update breaks them lol. I stopped using her mods years ago because the update speed is extremely slow and they are more broken then they are fixed.However, I understand creators have lives and she may not have time to update such a large number of mods quickly. I do think it would be better to focus on a few of her most popular mods to keep up. Mcccomad and tool is a good example. They always are immidiately up to date but those modders only have one or a few mods to focus on.This is a problem with modders who put out too much content. I had to let go of many of my beloved traits because the modder tries to make a new trait everyday while the old ones are still broken every update ? ? At the end of the day though it's the modders decision so I would just avoid them for now unless something changes for the better.

Definitely an issue, the amount of patches the game itself need because each new pack is a wonky mess is also an issue. But speaking in the other sim community, KawaiiStacie has developed a rep for not being the most reliable modder. And I think In part it’s because like the trait example, has just too many mods and can’t keep up with the updates. Great ideas, lots of creativity, but it’s just not sustainable unfortunately.

What is up with KawaiiStacie’s Mods always breaking and never updating?

Definitely an issue, the amount of patches the game itself need because each new pack is a wonky mess is also an issue. You're unnecessarily combative. She has no responsibility to do anything with her mods or site really. What you do with and put in your game is your responsibility. And yes, I don't understand your attitude, but I do understand loving mods. You just need to move on from ones that don't work anymore. Or shout into the void if thar helps, I guess.

It is frustrating when mods stop working and aren't updated quickly, but generally, someone else has made a mod or two that will do the same thing as a mod I was using... so I just move on.

As far as replacing KawaiiStacie mods, I have found other mods from creators like ADeepIndigo, Lumpinou, Lotharihoe, Bienchen, Chingyu, FDSims, Helaene, MissyHissy, Kuttoe, LittleMsSam, NeedCoffee4That, and many others that can replace and far improve upon features I enjoyed in KS mods. The only thing I've found I miss is the emotion overlays from SoL... still haven't found a replacement for that.

I use the separated SoL overlays and that one still works for me with no issues.

ADeepIndigo has the Toddler, Youth, and Family Activities mod. It has a lot of activities and they vary with the season if you have Seasons.

I would say play offline to avoid patching for as long as you can... but I don't know if the new EA app let's you keep updates at bay like Origin does.

I give it a few days for patching if I'm that eager to play with the newest update. Make note of broken mods before removing them and update the rest. I only download from creators who are active. Taking months to update mods is not what I consider active. It's understandable to be busy with RL of course.

Also you mentioned ruined save files. I highly recommend making a habit of backing up your game files. It will save you plenty of grief down the road.
